WHAT IS MANGINAH

Founded in 1994, Manginah is Brandeis University’s premier Jewish a cappella group. Partnered with Hillel, Manginah sings a mixture of Jewish, Israeli pop, and English songs. Our mission is to share our love of Jewish music with Jewish communities across the greater Boston area. Manginah is proud to perform for the residents of the Coleman House retirement home in Newton every semester. Recently, the group has been increasing its regional profile by winning third place in the New England Jewish Collegiate A Capella and Showcase at Temple Sholom.

IT'S SIMPLE. WE LOVE TO SING.

Music is one of the most powerful cultural connectors that you can find. It has been a central component of Jewish identity since the times of the Temple, and Manginah seeks to continue this tradition within the framework of our present-day, modern lives. Our members come from various Jewish communities and backgrounds across the country and we come together to form a close-knit mishpacha.
